Andres Pena Flamenco Workshop

The wonderful Andres Pena came to Brisbane in December, last year. At that stage, about 30 weeks pregnant, I was not up for the dancing part of the workshop, but I could join in by taking photos. Little Trevor (NOT her real name, rest assured) was kicking up a storm throughout the workshop - she was either objecting to the noise, or she was dancing away. I like to think it was the latter.

I've never done any action/dance photography before, so was grateful for the experience. Thankyou for the opportunity, Sharon. A steep learning curve - I must confess that I put the camera on the wrong setting, and didn't realise until the end. So the photos are not as sharp as I would like, but to me, flamenco is about the movement and the small nuances - like the curl of a hand, or the shape of an arm. I hope these photos capture that.

Apologies for these taking so long to upload. Life has been a bit hectic of late - and there were a LOT of photos to edit!

It was also great to see all my flamenco buddies again - I hope to be back to classes soon.
